Laminate
We supply a wide range of color and ranges of laminate. We would recommend quick-step to all our customers because its water-resistant layer on top gives you time to wipe up and spillage without damaging the board like would happen with some manufacturers.
Laminate is a very cost-effective product for people who like wood flooring without the price tag. The other advantage of laminate over wood is it does not scratch very easily. Laminate can be fitted in any dry room in the house and will last a long time
There are two finishes with laminate, you can have it fitted under the Skirting board or you can have a strip of scotia run around the perimeter of the room. It is our recommendation to have the skirting boards removed but this can differ for each job so it is best to do your own research and see what fits best for you.

LVT
Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) are a relatively new product in the flooring industry. There are 3 different types of LVT’s, the original dry back glue down, these are good for high traffic areas as they are bonded to the floor so they can withstand more wear. Then you have click LVT which is similar to laminate flooring, the tiles interlock by a tounge and grove joining system, this can be good for a low traffic area in the house as you do not need to prepare the floor to the same perfection as the glue down. The last style is the Looselay, this is currently only produced by Karndean, This product is specially designed for areas where the floor may need to be accessed after the tiles are installed, there is no glue used to stick the tiles to the floor they are secured by the weight of the tile and they have a special grove on the bottom on the tile that reduces any risk of movement. The advantage of the click and Loselay LVT is that the floor does not need to be screeded as they can withstand an uneven and rough subfloor whereas the dry back needs both. The advantage of the dry back tiles is that they have a higher level of durability.

Karndean is the market leader in domestic LVT’s they run regular tv and radio advertisements to get their product known on a wider scale as it is still quite new a lot of people still don’t know about it
Karndean is a company that was originally formed in Australia in (1958) they expanded to the Uk in (1997?) Karndean specializes in funky floors these days, they call this the heritage collection
